Okabe Kikai Co., Ltd. was founded in 1952 in Okayama by Naozuke Okabe, who established the business under the name "Okabe Kikai Shokai" as a machinery expert recognized for the "Mother Machine" a machine used to create other machines, serving as a key foundation of the manufacturing industry. In 1963, the company was officially registered as Okabe Kikai Co., Ltd. with a registered capital of 8 million yen. Over time, the company increased its capital and relocated its headquarters in line with Japan's economic growth and the continuous expansion of the business, reaching a current registered capital of 25 million yen.

To meet the growing market demand, the company opened its Osaka branch in 1984 within the Higashi-Osaka Industrial Park, allowing faster access to industry information and strengthening collaboration with partners in the sector.
In addition, in 1992, the company opened a large machinery exhibition center in Kibitsu, Okayama, covering over 3,700 square meters, with a 1,500-square-meter exhibition building. It has been recognized as one of the largest machinery exhibition centers in the western region of Japan.
Currently, the company has over 500 machines in stock, ranging from small machining centers to large machinery weighing over 60 tons.
